One star is two stars too many! Avoid this place like the plague it is!Took them six weeks to complete a job they quoted 14 days for. Communication was atrocious in terms of both quality and quantity; no updates, no warning the work wasnt going to be finished on time. E-mails were vague and poorly worded and sent five minutes before closing time without fail. On the phone and in person staff were rude, unhelpful, argumentative and on one visit made explicit threats.When I did eventually get my car back it was obvious they had damaged it during the repair. They claimed it was pre-existing and refused to fix it; only threats of legal action from my insurer sorted this out. The quality of work was poor to mediocre and, again, they only fixed it when threatened with legal action.Strangely, with a solicitors letter on the horizon the further repairs took only three days!
Paid 3,700 to get car fixed and came back worse. They had the car for longer than they said, never kept in touch and stuff went missing out car. The car came back with lights on and a funny sound which they said was fine. After using the car for a week everything just started getting worse. I took the car to a mechanic who found 23 faults and said the car was not roadworthy so I am left with no car for another few days and will need to pay to get all the work done again. Things they said they had fixed were broken. Very very poor for the money and a total rip off I would strongly advise you take your car to a proper mechanic who knows what they are doing before taking it to bennetts.

One star is too generous. Awful service from beginning to end. No clarity in their payment terms led to me having to front the bill and claim back from the insurance company. Repair is below average.
Have used Bennetts when needed for the last thirty years and I would without doubt have said that they were the best in the west. Unfortunately this for me no longer applies.My car went in for a new bumper and we were told two days were needed. Took EIGHT days with very little information flowing from Bennetts.I went to pick the car up but was not satisfied with the paint finish as there was a distinct shade difference between the hatchback door (original) and the new bumper.I was told by the shop manager that this was normal as the bumper was plastic and the door metal.Funny but the car was all the same colour when I bought it three years ago. Paint plastic and then paint metal and get two different finishes.NOT HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE...... What a shame that the paint is not the only thing that is fading.Oh forgot that there was a second part to be repaired at the same time. Bennetts forgot about this.
