There were several events for Rabbie Burns birthday and I attended the Haggis Hooley. What a wonderful night! There was grace and toasting of the haggis before a traditional supper, with said haggis and neaps. Between courses, poetry and songs written by the bard himself and other traditional music, followed by a fabulous ceilidh. The food was good (and well catered for gluten-free and vegetarian), the poetry orator and musicians were excellent. Altogether, a warm Scottish welcome, great fun, and an honouring of the man himself.

Fantastic, cannot recommend highly enough. Staff and facilities were lovely and the exhibition very informative.

Really great day out. Friendly informative staff. Ticket gains access to the Museum and Cottage - valid for 3 days. Spacious and airy cafe for a coffee after seeing the exhibition.

A lovely place to visit with or without taking kids. The staff member who led the talk in the cottage was brilliant, full of knowledge and humour and very engaging. The museum itself is brilliantly laid out and again with lovely helpful staff. Cafe is great too though we were a bit late in getting there so would love to go back. Kids adored the play park.

Fascinating place. The main exhibition room is full of interactive displays, great for children and adults alike. I knew very little about burns but came away with much more of an understanding. The grounds are first class, the staff very enthusiastic and helpful. Burns cottage is a great time capsule. Good walks and a lovely cafe
