What a wee gem of a place this is! Steeped in history, with volunteers that love &take pride in what they do, informative! It's a pity the chap had to go as they were short staffed, I could have listened all day to the history of the placeThe ladies in the shop &cafe we're brilliant with our grand children&kind. The boys said they really enjoyed it and were surprised at how interesting it was (They moaned about going!) We would recommend you go&enjoy the experience.
we enjoyed our morning here last week. son loved the trains and the museum had some interesting information on the history of the area.not a huge amount to see or do and some outside seating areas would have been nice for our picnic.well aware that it's an underfunded heritage project and things are on going hence the 5 star despite lots of room for improvement and expansion
